2FA - Login Support

Why is 2FA used?

As you'll have access to patient data, modern Digital Governance requires ensuring its you trying to access it - that means a combination of email, password AND something you'd have on your person (e.g. Phone apps)

Which App are you using?

  • Any Authentication App will work - welcome to use one you're already using.

  • Not listed here? Reach out to us using the Help Widget in the bottom right of the screen.

Setting up/first time

  1. Download/Open the app

  2. Tap the + button in the bottom right of the app,

  3. Point the phone camera to scan the QR code on Practice Toolkit

  4. Edit the title to whatever you'd find helpful

  5. Enter the code it generates in Practice Toolkit

Using in future

  1. Open the app on your phone - the icon looks like above

  2. It'll show a list of any organisations you've created, find Practice Toolkit and the number you need will be displayed already. The loading circle round each icon shows when it'll be refreshed with a new one.

Setting up/first time

  1. Download/Open the app

  2. Select the + button in the top bar and select 'Other' (don't tap the QR code icon bottom left, that's for Microsoft only)

  3. Point the phone camera to scan the QR code on Practice Toolkit

  4. Edit the title to whatever you'd find helpful

  5. Enter the code it generates in Practice Toolkit

Using in future

  1. Open the app on your phone - the icon looks like above

  2. It'll show Microsoft accounts a list of any organisations you've created, find Practice Toolkit and tap it to display the 'One-time password code'

    NB: unlike using it to log into Microsoft services it won't automatically appear, you need to tap into the organisation to get the code.

  3. Point the phone camera to scan the QR code on Practice Toolkit

  4. Enter the code it generates in Practice Toolkit
