Set Up Actions: Overview

Action between Pilot Sessions; get maximum value out of Practice Toolkit with these simple actions

Updated this week

These are actions designed to be undertaken between the Pilot: Set-Up and Pilot: Patient Invitations sessions, or BEFORE inviting patients.

The focus is to make sure you're only inviting patients which need it by checking;

  1. Recall Logic (organising that data how you want it)

  2. Adjusting coding for Patient Data (accurate data going 'in')

  3. Relevancy of appointments needed (marking as booked those seen recently)

Click the links below in turn to resolve these three actions

Set up your Recalls to suit your Practice. The Recall logic you decide will determine:

  1. The patient population the recall applies to

  2. Which appointments are needed for those patients based on:

    1. Which staff groups undertake tests

    2. At what frequency (and if dependent/variable on blood test results)

Click here for more info on setting that Recall List, and pragmatic ways to get clinical input if required.

Check your Patient Counts in EMIS Searches match Practice Toolkit

These may vary due to either:

  1. EMIS Search you've used before has a different population codes to Practice Toolkit (so you're comparing apples and pears)

    OR

  2. Coding in EMIS for conditions isn't flagging the diagnosis as a medical 'Problem', or the medication isn't 'Current'

Click here for more info on resolving these, and customise searches to easily identify a 'hit list' of patients to review problem coding for.
